Slack developer Felix Rieseberg packaged Mac OS 8.1 into an app, that contains many apps and games.

Felix Rieseberg used a 1997 MacWorld demo CD to package the 1991 Macintosh Quadra computer and Mac OS 8.1 into an Electron application, which can be installed on macOS, Windows, and Linux.
The macintosh.js app is written entirely in JavaScript. It uses a virtual machine to simulate a Macintosh Quadra 900 computer. Its CPU is the Motorola CPU used by Apple before the transition to IBM’s PowerPC chip.
Rieseberg has successfully made Duke Nukem 3D, Civilization II, Dungeons & Dragons, Namely, Oregon Trail, Alley 19 Bowling, and Damage Incorporated, and other classic games are available to play. There are even pre-installed a bunch of apps, including Photoshop 3, Premiere 4, Illustrator 5.5, StuffIt Expander, and Apple’s Web Page Construction toolkit.
Although the emulator is also pre-installed with Internet Explorer and Netscape browsers, however, because the version is too outdated, Rieseberg said that “you wouldn’t be able to open even Google.”
In any case, the 90s version of Mac OS was ported to JavaScript to run, which is really admirable. Rieseberg also converted Windows 95 into an emulator app in 2018.
