Ioshackz.com Apple To Add Auto-Translation Feature And Apple Pencil Support In Safari According to a 9to5Mac report, a leaked iOS 14 code suggests Apple plans to add a built-in translation feature in the Safari browser and add full Apple Pencil support.

Safari’s built-in translation feature would allow users to directly translate web pages without using third-party applications or services. If ‌iOS 14‌ comes with this feature, then the next generation of macOS will also support this feature. The translation feature will be applicable to all websites. Similar to Chrome’s built-in automatic translation feature.

Safari users can also enable/disable the feature. In the meantime, Apple seems to be testing the auto-translation feature in other apps (such as the App Store).

Apple’s translations are powered by the Neural Engine, so it could work with or without an internet connection.

As for Apple Pencil, Apple plans to provide Apple Pencil with full support in web browsing scenarios, so that it can not only scroll/tap web pages but also have a more complete user experience.

Apple is expected to unveil iOS 14 at its annual WWDC event, which will be held on June 22 this year.
