According to reports from 9to5Mac citing unnamed sources, Apple is working hard to bring Music and Podcasts apps to the Microsoft Store. The sources claim that Apple is currently testing the two apps for Microsoft’s platform as a private beta.

It’s unclear whether the apps will be compatible with Windows PCs or they will be developed for Microsoft’s Xbox console. Apple released an Apple TV app in November, compatible with Xbox One, Series X, and Series S, so future Podcasts and Music applications may also be limited to supporting the game consoles.
However, Apple may plan to release these apps on Windows after iTunes on Mac is disabled. Currently, the company continues to provide a version of iTunes designed for Windows, but the app is rarely updated, and the interface may undergo a comprehensive revamp because it is not ideal for accessing services such as Apple Music and Apple TV +.
Apple released macOS Catalina in 2019, ripped off iTunes on the Mac, and instead provided users with independent Music, TV, and Podcast apps.
